IDEA has launched a new initiative, Faculty Driven, that invites faculty to creatively address equity and diversity needs within their departments. This program provides funding for faculty to develop programs that strengthen the University’s diverse community of scholars.
Funding will be provided for proposals that clearly articulate how programming will enhance instruction, increase research productivity, improve student outcomes, and/or contribute to faculty development. Recognizing that each department has unique needs that require specific and targeted programming, funding can be utilized in a variety of ways. For example, the development of workshops or initiation of faculty writing groups.
